We are enjoying some very rare Indian Summer days this week. Yesterday it was 75 and snow is forecast for Friday. Welcome to Iowa. Since our chances to play outside not bundled in layers upon layers of winter clothes, hats, boots, gloves, mittens and scarves are quickly coming to an end, we headed outdoors yesterday to have some fun at the park.
We threw rocks and leaves and grass into the stream.

We played at the playground.

We found interesting bugs.

We had fun!
(And in true UMC fashion, I didn't shower all day. Even after raking TWICE and running 3 miles. AND I'm pretty sure that brownies and Reese's Peanut Butter Cups were the staples of [my] breakfast, lunch and dinner and all the snacks in between.)

Sounds like the bestest day ever!!! And Sara, if you start showering now, you're gonna kill the UMC image, so keep up the good work! We could use a few days of Indian Summer around here...it's just been cold cold cold since the beginning of October, and it's no fun. Summer just disappeared so fast!! Um...enjoy the snow on Friday!
I love fall days with boys!!!!
Rocks, bugs, water, dirt....it's all fun!
Owie is such a little boy now. It's crazy how quickly they just change into little humans!
I can't stand it! Your kids are growing up too quickly xo
What a perfect day!!! 75 is actually pretty chilly around these parts so I can see why he was bundled up in that jacket! Brrrr!
And you obviously didn't get the memo: Running more than 10 steps cancels out one reese PB cup. So with three miles under your belt AND raking leaves I'm going to say you're in a deficit. Eat more PB cups!
