Beach - day 6

Thursday was as close to perfect as the week got at the beach.

Chowen is quite the pair. Owen loved his older cousin Chase and would mimic everything he did. If Chase jumped, Owen jumped. If Chase screamed, Owen screamed. They had tons of fun playing in giant holes we dug in the sand.

The boogie board in the pictures is Matt's that he bought in 1987 in Ocean City, MD on one of our family vacations. Best $45 ever spent!

HIGHLIGHT OF THE DAY
Chase LOVED the water and spent most of his waking hours with a boogie board strapped to his wrist. Today we started taking Chase and Owen for rides on the boogie boards and they both went crazy.

FAMILY PICTURE NIGHT
There was a WHOLE lot of wind and most of our lenses fogged over from the moisture in the air, and there was a storm coming so the pre-dusk lighting was a no show, so not the best results.

When exactly did Matt turn into Monka? I swear I had to look closely at that picture of him in the visor to figure out which of them it was.

And I think you guys should just send Taylor to a convent now, and not bother waiting till she's sixteen. You'll definitely have to lock her up at some point or you'll have crowds of boys (and much-older boys, at that) playing Peter Gabriel songs on boomboxes in your front yard. Or maybe HSM songs, since probably none of them have ever heard of Peter Gabriel. Come to think of it, they probably don't know what a boombox is, either. But you get my drift. Anyway, that girl is way more gorgeous than any almost-14-year-old has any right to be. What happened to her terrible skin awkward phase? I know I'm 37, and she's my niece, but it's just not fair!

For everyone's sake, I hope Matt doesn't read your comment. He doesn't take kindly to references that he is indeed his father. I have one picture of them standing next to each other playing blongoball or bean bag toss and they have the same stance, the same expression, their arms folded the same way. Funny!

It looks like you had a great vaca! I love the beach photos. It doesn't matter what the day looks like it's a beach picture. I can't believe Gabby is 5! Poor thing doesn't even know me!

All of you people are so stinkin' photogenic...what the crap-holio? Beautiful peeps...

Anyway, before you left for vaca, you had a countdown on your blog. How did you get that on there? I want a count down to Bean!

Looks like you all had a great time. I wish we were at a beach somewhere. I understood navy life to always have the kind of luxury! LOL

Can't wait to see you all again!!!
