A lot of reading and a little napping at the beach.
Our only day trip of the week was to see the USS North Carolina, a WWII battleship. VERY hot. And by hot, I don't mean hawt; it was sweat dripping down your back hot. Impossible to imagine life on that small vessel with 2,400 other bodies in the south Pacific fighting the Japanese. The kids enjoyed the living quarters, which Jerry says haven't changed a whole lot in the past 60 years. We also liked the bridge. Jerry commented that everyone likes those places, they're the 'sexy' part of the ship. We lost him in the radio room for about an hour, no joke.

I've just discovered what seems to be the only drawback to Live Writer: you can't click on the pictures to enlarge them. That's kind of yucky, but the fact that more pictures will likely be posted overall makes up for it, at least in my case.
lydia and mason really DO look like they could be twins! Holy Crap!
I love the NC beaches. So beautiful and the water is perfect. Looks like you guys had a great time...a seriously long vacation!
Hmmm. For some reason, on my own blog I can still click a photo in a post written with Live Writer to enlarge it. And on this one of yours, I can click your first two photos, but they both take me to a photo of Owen asleep in his car seat. Odd. But the O-man was pretty cute passed out cold!
