Just this week she 1) went into my bathroom and stole all my make-up and tried to convince me she had no idea where it was 2) painted her fingernails RED and got it all over the train table, Lydia's beanbag chair and the entertainment center and 3) 'helped' paint our bath tub prop (future post coming) when specifically asked to not touch it while I left the room for 5 minutes in which time she managed to dump all the contents of the remaining paint, paint the tub, drip paint on the carpet, get paint all over her hands and proceed to climb on the entertainment center to find a movie, leaving pretty handprints everywhere.
Back to her chores. She usually is helpful in unloading the dishwasher. I consider this a huge triumph in parenting as my kids will help clean up in the kitchen. Not sure it balances the chaos that reigns in the rest of the house, but it's a start.
In addition to emptying the dishwasher, Gaby can also make her own lunch....
And she taught Owen what to do with the clean socks.
Oh, this is Lydia and Gaby's idea of good 'clean' fun in the tubbie.

thanks for the laugh! It's only funny when it isn't your own kid. :)
Oh Sara! If Jerry were home with the kids all day I would call it sweet justice, but I often wonder what in the heck YOU did to deserve Jerry, let alone the antics his genes compel your kids to get up to. Just the other day I was feeling sorry for myself that Hudson was being so difficult lately, but all he does is walk on the couches, torment his brother, refuse to listen and sass me incesssantly. I've got it easy and I've been duly reminded to count my lucky stars...
Sara, some of the girls on a chat board I belong to were complaining about cleaning a room and then having their kids move all their toys into it. I had to copy and paste this Gaby entry to show them that if it's just toys, it's really not that bad...
