Thirteen years ago...

Thirteen years ago today was a sunny beautiful Sunday in Lebanon, PA. About this time that year (1:30 EST) I was on my way to the hospital where Taylor would arrive 10 weeks early, much to everyone's surprise. I can recall nearly every minute of that frightening, happy, sad, scary, wonderful day when she came into this world. My life would be forever changed.

I look at the beautiful daughter I'm blessed to call mine and I'm in awe at remembering her traumatic beginning. She's nothing short of a miracle. I've learned more lessons than I can count from her. The strength she needed to survive at just over 3 pounds has helped her develop a strong sense of who she is. I love that she's completely comfortable with being who she is, which is challenging for any teenager. She's fun and outgoing, considerate and kind, and a total goofball.

Here's a fun walk down memory lane.

Happy Birthday Ta-May-May! I well remember when your sweet little face was only as big as the palm of my hand. I remember Grandma calling me to tell me you had arrived and being scared and then exhilarated when she said you were ok. I can even remember what I was wearing while I was dancing around the house like a fool, yelling, "I'm an AUNT! I'm an AUNT!" You're goofy and gorgeous and I'm so proud of you. Love you!

What a trip down memory lane! I, too, remember the day you were born (it was Saturday between conference sessions). We all gathered together to kneel and pray for you. We already loved you so much and we hadn't even met you!
Sweet Tay! I have lots of super special memories of our summers together. Like the time I woke up in the morning to find that you had covered the TV in the Bonnie Bell lip gloss I had bought you. Or the other time i woke up to find you in a giant pile of baby powder looking like a ghost after our beach outing. Or the time you had blood spouting from your head in gi-normous proportions...Ahhh, we've had some good times, you and I. I love you and think you're gorgeous and fabulous and an all-around wonderful person!
