Owen was playing hard to get while I was trying to take pictures of his new teeth.
I have not been taking pictures lately and need to get back into the habit. Lydi had rollerskating for gym class all month and I didn't get one picture of her doing the limbo on skates! Priceless. Lots of memories of Friday nights at the Gretna Roller Rink came back. Except there was no organ music and the Macarena wasn't even around when I was a kid. Needless to say rollerskating kindergarteners are a hoot to watch.
And Gaby's been taking "nastics" since August and I have not one picture of her flying through the air on the big tramp. She tends to spend more time at the water fountain and giving me hugs and kisses than actually doing anything that resembles gymnastics. She is very close to being able to do a back roll by herself. We were practicing and I showed her how to do one. I can't say I remember the last time I did a back roll, but my head was spinning for about 15 minutes after this one. I must be getting old.

The last time I did a back roll I'm pretty sure that I sprained my "special place." You're a brave woman for even attempting it. Maybe when I lose 15 pounds and lower my metabolic age to 12 I'll try again and hope for more success. As for Owen, holy scha-moly that kid looks like Matt! Such a cutie with those teef, too! Poor Taylor...I'm sure she's using her sick time wisely by listening to the High School Musical soundtrack over and over while wearing her monkey slippers (right?!). I do need to chastise you for not taking pictures of Lydi on rollerskates doing the limbo. How many times in my life am I going to have the opportunity to see that again?!I guess that's what I get for moving to Texas. Love to my peeps.
Funny you saw the Matt look alike, too, just with brown eyes instead of blue. Taylor hasn't listened to any music - her iPod was confiscated, but her week is up. so let the itunes rock on! She has watched the HP movies, all 4, I think. And we were even productive w/ a little math homework and take home test action! AND the monkey slippers were her choice of footwear to the doc's office today. Lydi will get to strap on her skates and give the limbo another try next year, as they skate every Jan for gym. Are 1st graders on skates as hilarious on skates as kindergarteners? Probably so.
Poor Tay. I hate the flu. To have to battle it for a month would suck! Owen is quite the cutie. I just want to grab on to those cheeks and give them a squeeze! Looking forward to seeing all the HEALTHY Kilgores in a few weeks. Love you,
Poor Ta-may may... give her some air kisses for me, I've been sick too so I know the feeling. Owen is sooo cute. I love babies and their fat little cheeks. And anna, it probably hasn't been THAT LONG since you've done some sort of backwards roll... I do rolls all the time playing vball and I feel just fine! I'd love to see Gaby flying around on a trampoline, though... does she have some sparkly outfits to wear? TAKE PICTURES, WOMAN!!!
