Notaverygoodreturntobloggingpost

I've been busy.  Sorry about the 2+ month absence, not that anyone noticed, but life sometimes gets in the way.  Nothing dreadful or entirely fantastic, just life.

A brief (and by brief, I mean brief, not you-should-go-to-the-bathroom-before- continuing-to-read) update on us:

I've run A LOT of miles since my last post.  Figuring out when, how, and where I'm going to run occupies my thoughts daily.  Also too, I have baked at least 20 dozen of my favorite cookies, 2 pounds of fudge, and 4 pounds of pecans.  Sadly, I made zero Oreo truffles because each time I bought a bag (or two) for the ingredients I would eat them all.

Jerry injured his foot/leg swimming of all places.  Training for him is now in jeopardy, but he'll likely suck it up, run through it and then have his foot amputated at the finish line.

Taylor is into singing and dancing but not s.t.u.d.y.i.n.g.  Is anyone aware of any colleges that don't look at math/require math as part of the application/entrance process?

Lydia invents things daily.  She made a steering wheel for Owen out of a spoon, a paper plate and a cardboard box.  It worked.

Gaby lost her two front teeth and looks even cuter without them, if that is even possible.

Owen uses his "super speed" to accomplish many super hero-esque tasks daily.  He is singing Christmas songs round the clock, my favorites are the made up ones.  He hums when he eats.  I can imagine this may need to be remedied before he goes to school.

And finally, I just downloaded Gaby's camera photos onto the laptop and found these...

See, brief AND completely un-noteworthy.

hilarious!! Love the pics

Sorry to hear about the injury...and the missing oreo truffles....they are divine aren't they? I use them as fuel when I run....(that's how I justify eating so many this time of year!!!)

I totally understand what you mean when you say having to think about your runs all the time. I was to that point too...and I became weather obsessed too.....then suddenly....it was over! your time will come and you will be GREAT!

Your blogs are always missed. And it makes me sad. But I get over it.
If I could get through a major university with little-to-no math skills, Tay can, too! You can do it, Tay!
Lydia and Cameron need to get together and start a design company. Seriously, Cameron is constantly re-designing/re-purposing something (like a tissue box), or crafting something entirely new from six reams of paper and a roll of scotch tape. I love it. The environment might hate it, but I love it. There's my republican thought for the day.
Gaby getting cuter is hard to imagine. I'm going to need pictures. It seems like there's some law of physics that should make that almost impossible.
Owen, will you come live with us? We need some serious Christmas cheer around here. Plus, we groom super heroes here.
And you're going to kill that marathon. And so will Jerry, even if they do have to amputate it. I mean, that's worth it, right?!

Ha! We have some pictures like those, no princesses though. They were funny, totally worth posting.

Keep up the good work with your training. It sounds like you're doing great!

Sorry to hear about Jerry's foot. I bet those princesses have him taken care of though. And I have missed your updates. Almost as much as you miss the truffles, I'm sure. Hope you are having a blast in PA. Merry Christmas!
