It's been a crazy week, our schedule has been ridiculous, but I'm so glad I took the time to take the kids to the Balloon Glow that is part of Cedar Rapids' Freedom Festival tonight. There were 7 hot air balloons and the Marine Corps Band all the way from VA. They were really good.

Marine Corps Band - Gaby was shocked to see that they weren't wearing any shirts.

Funnel Cakes! Life is good.
Lydia has been and will always be something else. Today while I was on lifeguard duty at Girls' Camp and the kids were home with a sitter, Lydia decided to wash my car.... in the garage ... with a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser... and a ladle. She also mopped the garage floor with our good dust (dry) mop. Luckily she didn't touch my Dyson or Bissell.

Sometimes I think deep down they like each other.

A hot and sticky night, but really fun nonetheless. I am so grateful that tomorrow is the end of this insane week.

OMGosh did she screw up the paint job? Those erasers are crazy... Holy schmoly, Lyd. BUT, don't you love that she was trying to help?
AND, don't you love the way her ponytail is all curled? (Did you do it? I can't remember her hair having that much curl...)
Are we down to five weeks? SLowest five weeks of the year fo shizz. I can't wait to smooch the face of each and every nephew/niece. Especially if Owen is wearing that sweet bucket hat. I'm in love!
p.s. the Biggest Loser Comp. went really well last week - lost 2 pounds. I've been a beast with working out. This week hasn't been nearly as awesome on the food-front but that's just life, right? Me love cookie.
love the pictures!! And seriously? Who washes a car with a ladle! It must have taken her quite a while!! What a kid... can't wait to see everybody!!
Paint job seems in tact. Curly pony compliments of a very hot and humid climate. "Did you do it?" LOL fo rills!!!! I haven't used a hair appliance that requires electricity for weeks. My signature look currently is my smelly but beloved visor, knotted-up pony/bun and sunglasses. I didn't actually go to girls' camp (lifeguard duty 2 days doesn't really count), but I sure look like I did.
I hear you. All Kilgore women everywhere can attest to the fact that our air-dried hair looks horrid. And yet, that is what I'm sporting. Because I'm hot. Like, temperature hot, not HAWT hot.
August are you here yet?
Great picts, Sara! What a helpful clan you have but as we say in the south: "Goodna graciah!" where was the babysitter? Glad your car is still pristine:)
