Yes, the Lydism for the day. She told her piano teacher that she was smarter before she started school. The No Child Left Behind campaign must not be working in Iowa.
And, Owen was most assuredly smarter before Gaby threw him into the train table. We've decided to keep Owen behind closed doors until the bruises heal, lest someone report us to DHS. I should have taken pictures of the egg (approx the size of a golf ball) on his head after it happened. Owen will be getting a helmet and Gaby a restraining order.
I'm sure he's looking better than my mom who fell this morning. She seems to have a knack for falling down and getting injured in the process. She's OK after a trip to the ER for Dermabond for her head and X-rays for her shoulder, which is only badly sprained.
Happy 10th Anniversary to Matt and Deb! Matt surprised her with a diamond necklace! And she got a Dyson... some girls have all the luck.

Well I guess there's no such thing as a "dull moment" with you guys... geez! Oh, and tell Lydi it's ok, I'm much dumber for all the time I've spent in school, too. Mostly because I have to listen to 14 year olds all day... but anyway, did Taylor get her package?? I'm hoping she'll find the book HILARIOUS. Because it is.
So cute. Love Lydisms!
A diamond AND a Dyson?! Is 10 years the "D" anniversary? Only 4.5 years to go, then...
We had a similar experience with Miles and suspicious looking marks on his face. I should have taken a picture. Luckily the Home Teachers were here when the event occurred so we knew we had an alibi if questioned about Miles' GIANT bruised cheek that is still healing 10 days later. Sigh. It was self-inflicted, though. I am cringing at the mental image of Gaby hurling O-man head-long into the train table. I'm sure it was a LONG time out for that girl!
I love Lydisms...Sometimes I just want to crawl into her brain and see exactly what's going on in there to produce such funny comments.
Dude, I already have a Dyson built into the new-house budget. I am so sick of my sucky vacuum, and since it's 220V, I have an excuse to get a new one when we move back to the US. I'll have to wait a good while longer for any diamonds, though. You go, Deb!
Gaby's violent streak has me re-thinking the train table I was going to get the boys for Christmas. Hmmm...
And Lydi, well, that girly is always good for a laugh. The Lydisms always make my day. Tell her I said thank you!
