Very contrary. Apparently, I am not the brightest bulb in the garden. Lucky for me, I have friends in the know when it comes to all things that grow. Did you know that there is a weed-like forest dwelling plant that looks exactly like rhubarb, but it isn't! This (genus and species unknown to me) is what I have growing by my woodpile. I should have guessed that glorious vegetables would not spring forth from the ground just because they like me, or rather, know that I like to eat them. I did learn though that deer will leave real rhubarb alone, so there's hope for a bountiful rhubarb harvest in 2008. Meanwhile, my tomato plants are dying as they wait to be replanted in my container on the deck. So goes, or doesn't go, my garden.
Owen has discovered "nummy nummies" and boy is everything nummy nummy! Cake, popsicles, lollipops, cookies. He still only has 5 teeth and ALL of them are sweet tooth-s. I don't know where he gets it...

Yeah, I was really counting on you to do something rhubarb-erific for the reunion meal. Dang it! Oh well...I can't claim to have any better gardening skills. I can't even pick a good orange from the produce section at wal-mart...
