No, I'm not talking basketball. I only realized yesterday that it is in fact that time of year. I'm thinking that the term not only applies to crazed college b-ball fans following their teams, but crazed Midwesterns suffering from a severe lack of fresh air and sunshine, after having been couped up inside for the past 6 months.
Animals are not exempt from the madness. Max is crazy. He has done things in the past 2 weeks that he has NEVER done before. Secretly sleeping on the basement couch (the horror) AND helping himself to whatever is on the kitchen counter when no one's looking.
Here's what he's consumed so far:
2 DOZEN Snickerdoodle cookies (those were all mine Max, thanks)
6 sausage links, fully cooked
1 McDonald's Hamburger
1 ENTIRE penne pasta chicken casserole
Countless selections straight from the trashcan, too
Good Grief!
We got a delightful taste of spring earlier this week when it was in the 60's, but by the end of the week it was back to wintertime 30's. I'm happy that the Northeastern squall missed us, though my brother is digging out from about a foot of snow. And where you ask is our "Spring Break" destination? Pennsylvania. Not exactly the tropics, so hopefully the snow melts. I refuse to pack winter AND spring wardrobes for 5 people!
