What's new

Gaby can do 8 unassisted pull ups. It's pretty freakin' impressive.

Lydia fashioned a working bow out of a stick from the forest and some rubber bands. She also made her own arrows. And sharpened them to a fine point in my electric pencil sharpener.

I saw HP7.1. Thankfully I had the sense to not go at midnight. I was sadly disappointed. Taylor is personally offended that Jerry compared it to Twilight. There were werewolves and shiny half naked teenagers.

I'm hosting Thanksgiving for 26. And even though there is still a hole in the laundry ceiling, I'm thankful for running water. And that the water isn't running through the hole in the ceiling.

Congressional Medal of Honor recipient Sal Guinta is a graduate of both Kennedy High School and Pierce Elementary School, where my kids go. His mom is one of Owen's preschool teachers. How cool is that!??!!

Skating with the Stars, seriously?

Family history I am doing it. Sort of. Well, other people did it and I just found it. Anyway, my Grandpa Blanchard's line goes back to the Mayflower. My 9th grandfather (or something like that) Resolved White came over on the Mayflower with his parents. His brother Peregrine was the first child born in the New World. Their father died that first winter. Resolved's mother then married Edward Winslow who served as Governor of the Plymouth colony for many years. AND Edward Winslow's written account is one of three documenting the first Thanksgiving. So, you have me to personally thank for Thanksgiving. You're welcome.

We started a gratitudey list for the month of November. Each night we write down 5 things we're thankful for. A sampling: our dentist (made the list before Jerry & I), powers, flying squirrels, family, forks, cross walks, sleepovers, technology, cereal, great scientists, and words.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Gaby and Lydi - amazing once again. Any chance you'd loan them to me for a month or so?
Thanksgiving for 26 - thankful that's not me.
Gratitudeyness for words. Clearly that child is related to me.
HP7.1 feat. shiny teenagers and werewolves. Who knew? Well, probably people who read the book. But I didn't so I'm blown away! I did hear that the movie was horrible, though. So that stinks. Sorry Ta-may-may.
Can I just say that Christmas Rockin' Eve is one month away...Suuuuuuuuuuper excited.

Really, do you need one more claim to fame after the hokey-pokey? That's cool! Hope Turkey Day was awesome!
