MERRY CHRISTMAS!
We enjoyed Owen's First Christmas as well as our first Christmas in Iowa. In our 16 Christmases spent together only 4 of them have NOT been in PA, so it was different to not be with the Matt Blanchards and Kilgores for our usual Chrimstas Eve and Christmas Day festivities.

The kids made out like bandits, of course, and Daddy is eager to clear out the old to make room for the new. Taylor's prized possession of the day is her iPod Nano, though she is just as thrilled with her new book "Eldest" (sequel to Eragon). I think the book is 700 pgs long. Given that AND the iPod that will need to surgically removed from her ears, we won't be seeing or hearing much from her for the next week.

Gaby's shirt says, "Warning- I am Three" I'll will let the shirt speak for itself. Santa apparently knows this child very well.

Lydia was excited about all her loot, but also aware of all the things that Santa didn't bring. Back at the beginning of the month, Taylor helped her write a very nice and brief letter to Santa. After the letter was mailed, the list grew each time she watched TV or went to a birthday party (she had 3 this month!). So, Santa wasn't quite sure where her priorities were.

Owen was as sweet as can be. Wearing bows and eating paper, he was a doll. He got all kinds of boy stuff - yay! However, his favorite thing so far seems to be Gaby's Ariel doll?!? It must be the bright red hair.

It's hard to believe that 2006 is coming to an end. I hope to get my "Christmas" cards out before 2007. Chrysta mentioned something about Kilgore Standard Time this year, and I'm afraid I am living in that time zone. Happy Holidays!!
